Job summary

St. Luke's University Health Network is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform diagnostic and therapeutic studies, administer radiopharmaceuticals, and schedule IP/OP studies in accordance with department procedures.

The role requires ARRT/JRCNMT/CAMRT eligibility or certification, CPR, and adherence to NRC/PA regulations; strong patient education and quality-control skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ARRT, JRCNMT, or CAMRT recognized program or certified by the ARRT and/or NMTCB; must pass registry within 1 year of hire.
• If working in PET/CT, an advanced NMTCB PET/CT registry is recommended within 1 year of hire and maintained annually thereafter.
• For NJ based employees: Current New Jersey State Nuclear Medicine Technologist License from the NJ Dept. of Environmental Protection required.
• Mandatory competency of clinical experience and didactic training under supervision of an accredited school of Nuclear Medicine Technology.
• Current CPR certification required before completion of orientation.

Responsibilities

• Perform Nuclear Medicine policies and procedures in compliance with established protocols and regulations.
• Educate patients regarding Nuclear Medicine procedures.
• Perform Quality Control on all equipment per ACR.
• Demonstrate proficiency in venipuncture with radiopharmaceuticals and injections.
• Schedule patients and order radionuclides.
• Assist in cleanup of accidents or spills involving radioactive materials.
• Maintain Hot Lab and waste disposal areas per NRC and PA state regulations.
• Demonstrate competency in RIS/HIS/PHS modules relevant to responsibilities.
• Receive radionuclides.
