Job summary

The Nuclear Medicine technologist at Wellstar Health System provides safe, age-appropriate care by performing department exams and preparing equipment for imaging procedures. You will ensure quality diagnostic studies and independently handle job functions while maintaining patient comfort and dignity.

Responsibilities include preprocedural verification, patient prep, sterile technique, and post-exam care. You will help with scheduling, charting, and collaborating across departments to uphold

Qualifications

• Graduate of AMA approved Nuclear Medicine Program.
• Requires ARRT Nuclear Technology or CNMT certification.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to function independently and under pressure while collaborating with team.

Responsibilities

• Verifies clinician orders and obtains patient history.
• Performs radiopharmaceutical procedures with proper safety.
• Ensures patient identification and marker accuracy; reviews images.
• Maintains infection control and equipment readiness; supports others.
