Job summary

The Nuclear Medicine technologist at Wellstar delivers safe, age-appropriate patient care by performing a wide range of diagnostic exams per department protocols. You will set up equipment, position patients, and ensure high-quality images while exercising independent judgment and initiative.

Responsibilities include verifying orders, maintaining patient privacy and comfort, and collaborating with radiologists and other staff.

Qualifications

• Requires graduate of an AMA‑accredited Nuclear Medicine program.
• AR RT‑N or CNMT certification required upon hire.
• Strong communication, teamwork and ability to work in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Responsibilities

• Verifies clinician orders and ensures patient safety throughout procedures.
• Prepares and positions patients, operates NM equipment, and obtains quality diagnostic images.
• Maintains infection control, clean equipment, and proper documentation in RIS/PACS.
