Job summary

WellSpan Health in Chambersburg, PA is seeking a PRN Nuclear Medicine Technologist. Shift: Days (6a-2:30p), Monday through Friday with on-call Saturday mornings.

Under the direction of a radiologist, you will assist with Nuclear Medicine exams and handle radiopharmaceuticals. You will maintain a safe department environment, ensure proper processing of equipment, and comply with safety regulations (DEP/DOT/NRC/FDA).

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved school of Nuclear Medicine or the equivalent in Nuc Med training and experience.

Responsibilities

• Assists with assessing, planning, implementing, and performing Nuclear Medicine exams under the direction of a radiologist.
• Compounds radiopharmaceuticals under the direction of the hospital's Pharmacy Director.
• Maintains the operational aspects of the Nuclear Medicine Department in collaboration with the Diagnostic Imaging Manager/Administrative Director.
• Ensures safety procedures for handling radioactive materials are followed and environmental safety rules are observed.
• Confirms proper patient identification, orders, and prep instructions; accurately documents procedures and results.
