Qualifications

• Completion of an approved Nuclear Medicine Technology program with at least an Associate degree.
• Current BLS certification.
• ARRT (N), NMTCB or CAMRT registration required.
• Continuing education hours required to maintain certification.
• Meets Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging scope and performance standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and administer radioactive materials.
• Apply ALARA principles to minimize radiation dose.
• Provide safe and effective patient care during procedures.
• Follow NRC regulations and hospital policies.
• Operate radiology equipment and software daily.
• Maintain certifications and registrations.
• Demonstrate effective use of AIDET in patient communication.
• Participate in department quality initiatives.
