Job summary

A healthcare organization is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Tech who will independently perform Nuclear Medicine procedures and administer radiopharmaceuticals. The successful candidate must possess an Associate degree in Allied Health, with specific certification and licensure in Nuclear Medicine required. Responsibilities include evaluating diagnostic studies, ensuring patient safety, and coordinating care with other departments. This position is crucial in providing high-quality diagnostic services and patient education.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Allied Health with a focus on Nuclear Medicine Technology.
• CPR Certification required.
• Nuclear Medicine registry required.
• ODH licensure required.
• ARRT RT (R) registry required and/or NMTCB.

Responsibilities

• Performs Nuclear Medicine procedures as ordered, evaluates image quality.
• Obtains clinical history for correlation with procedures.
• Implements safety measures per prescribed standards.
• Prepares and administers radiopharmaceuticals to patients.
• Assists Radiologist in special procedures during emergencies.
• Coordinates patient care with other departments.
• Educates patients and families about procedures.
• Maintains accurate records and reports.

Skills

Knowledge in anatomy and physiology

Knowledge of Ohio Department of Health rules & regulations

Proficient in Electronic Medical Record (EMR)

Proficient in Radiology Information System (RIS)
