Schedule: Part-Time - on-call during the week and weekends, and 7am-3pm Saturday and Sunday

The role you’ll contribute:
Under supervision, the Nuclear Medicine Technologist performs technical procedures using radionuclides for diagnosis and treatment. This includes independently performing radiographic imaging, handling, preparing, calculating dosages, and administering radionuclides and interventional medications under the guidance of an authorized user such as a radiologist or cardiologist. Responsibilities require independent judgment, ingenuity, initiative, and adaptability. The technologist ensures patient safety, adheres to safety standards to keep radiation exposure as low as reasonably achievable, maintains records per departmental and state requirements, assists the radiation safety officer, and transports patients to imaging. They position patients for quality diagnostic images, assist radiologists during procedures, perform clerical duties, provide basic patient care, and may market Nuclear Medicine/PET-CT services to physicians. The technologist must comply with corporate, local, state, and federal regulations and standards of accrediting bodies. This role contributes to the department’s mission by providing high-quality, safe, efficient, and cost-effective Nuclear Medicine imaging services, acting as a clinical resource, and maintaining current standards of practice. The role emphasizes outstanding customer service and respectful relationships.
