Job summary

Park Nicollet Methodist Hospital is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our Radiology team. The role performs high-quality nuclear medicine and PET/CT procedures, interacts with patients and staff, and emphasizes safety.

Part-time (.6 FTE) with 8-hour shifts on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, including rotation through call nights, weekends, and holidays. Requires accredited NM program completion, NMTCB or AART certification, and BLS; one year of experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Must graduate from an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program.
• Must participate in continuing education to stay current with technical advances.

Responsibilities

• Perform high quality nuclear medicine and PET/CT procedures per established protocols.

Job description

Position Summary

Performs high quality nuclear medicine and PET/CT procedures in accordance with established protocols. Interacts with patients, physicians, and staff in a professional and courteous manner. Applies knowledge of radiation protection, emergency protocols and procedures, and proper equipment utilization to maximize safety in the work environment. Maintains nuclear medicine equipment in optimum working condition.

Work Schedule

Part-time .6 FTE. Various 8‑hour shift starting between 0630 am‑0800 am on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. Rotation through call schedule for nights, weekends, and holidays.

Required Qualifications

Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination

• Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program
• Must be willing to participate in continuing education to remain current of technical advances.

Licensure/ Registration/ Certification

• AART or NMTCB Nuclear Medicine certification
• Must maintain BLS.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Must be able or willing to be trained in administering intravenous radioactive chemicals.
• Ability to assess results, problem solve, and use independent judgment.
• Demonstrates knowledge of age‑related growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and assure safety of patients.
