We are looking for a passionate Nuclear Medicine Technician to join Methodist Hospital Westover Hills. The role requires dedication to patient care and teamwork.
Job Summary and Qualifications
- Graduate of a Nuclear Medicine training program
- Minimum 2 years experience as a nuclear medicine technologist in a hospital setting
- Completion of initial and ongoing training and competencies as defined by the service line, facility, and department/unit
- Licenses and certifications:
- ARRT (R) or ARRT (N) or ARRT (T) or NMTCB
- Medical Radiologic Technologist Certification from Texas Department of Health
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification required within 30 days of employment start date
What you will do in this Role
- Supervise assigned personnel, plan and operate the section(s), evaluate performance, and motivate employees for peak productivity.
- Lead formal and informal meetings, fostering open communication and effective teamwork.
- Maintain inventory and equipment service records, coordinate vendor maintenance, and schedule preventive and emergency maintenance.
- Analyze data, identify issues, define problems, and formulate solutions based on factual information.
- Communicate decisions that impact other sections of the organization.
- Use resources efficiently to meet productivity standards set by the Department Director.
Additional Job Roles
- May have access to radiopharmaceuticals, contrast agents, and other non‑controlled medications as appropriate.
- Support Methodist Healthcare System’s mission, vision, and customer service standards.
- Adhere to system and facility safety policies, use safety equipment, and report unsafe conditions promptly.
- Follow the MHS Code of Conduct and report any violations of applicable laws or company policies.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
- No travel required.
- Preferred certifications: (RT) Radiologic Technologist/Radiographer, (CNMT) Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist, (NMT) Nuclear Medicine Technologist, or (ARRT‑N) Nuclear Medicine Technology.
