Job Summary

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist produces diagnostic images per ARRT and NMTCB standards, following safety and procedural guidelines. Responsible for patient care, radiation safety, and effective imaging techniques, demonstrating professional judgment and ethics.

Responsibilities
  • Produce high-quality scans for patients of all ages.
  • Follow protocols for imaging and isotope dosage.
  • Operate equipment efficiently.
  • Complete scans timely, organize workflow.
  • Image trauma and challenging patients, modify techniques as needed.
  • Communicate findings to radiologists.
  • Perform radioactive therapy procedures safely.
  • Minimize radiation exposure following ALARA principles.
  • Explain procedures to patients clearly.
  • Maintain patient safety, privacy, and dignity.
  • Reflect service excellence standards in interactions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited radiology program or equivalent.
  • Preferred: Associate degree or higher, 2-3 years radiologic experience.
Licenses and Certificates
  • Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) or ARRT registered technologist with NM certification.
  • Transportation of Hazardous Radioactive Material certification.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) within 30 days of start.
