Reporting to the Nuclear Medicine Supervisor, the incumbent is responsible for performing a full range of in vivo and in vitro Nuclear Medicine procedures using radiopharmaceuticals and related chemicals. Responsible for delivering quality patient care, ensuring timely throughput of patients, and performing their exams. Operates and performs quality control on stationary and portable scintillation equipment including gamma cameras, Geiger-Mueller counters, well counters, dose calibration devices, and ancillary equipment. Performs PET, Nuc Med, and CT diagnostic studies on PET/CT scanners, including injection of CT contrast media, image acquisition, and reformatting. Also responsible for performing scans necessary for research trials and creating/programming study-specific protocols under supervision.
