  • Graduate of Nuclear Medicine training program.
  • National Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMCB) or National Registered Technologist (NMT) required upon hire.
  • California Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification required upon hire.
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association required upon hire.

  • Plan, organize and perform diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures.
  • Fulfilling duties related to department quality assurance and compliance with Federal, State and JCAHO Standards.

Description

Nuclear Medicine Technologist at St Joseph Hospital-Orange. This position is Per Diem and will work 8-hour Day Shifts.

Under general supervision of the Supervisor, and guidance of the Lead Technologist, the Nuclear Medicine Technologist will perform all necessary duties and functions related to: (1) planning, organizing and performing diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures and (2) fulfill all duties required by the department quality assurance, Federal, State and JCAHO Standards.

Required Qualifications:
  • Coursework/Training: Graduate of Nuclear Medicine training program.
  • Upon hire: National Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist - Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board or
  • Upon hire: National Registered Technologist - Nuclear Medicine Technology.
  • Upon hire: California Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification.
  • Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 1 year experience working with cameras/computers of the same manufacturer as those at St. Joseph hospital.
  • Infant through older adult nuclear medicine procedure experience.
  • Intravenous administration experience with pediatric patients.

The successful candidate’s placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
