Job summary

Corewell Health Grosse Pointe Hospital is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform imaging and non-imaging procedures using radioactive tracers. You will ensure safe handling of materials, operate detection equipment, and deliver high-quality patient care in a family-centered setting.

The position requires an associate degree in radiologic technology with JRCERT accreditation, NMTCB certification within 6 months of hire, and BLS per AHA standards.

Qualifications

• Required associate’s degree Graduate of Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) Accredited Radiography program
• CRT-Nuclear Medicine Technologist - NMTCB Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board Required 6 months from date of hire
• CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association Upon Hire required

Responsibilities

• The NMT performs both imaging and non-imaging procedures on patients and/or patient samples using radioactive tracers. The NMT is responsible for the safe and correct handling of radioactive materials, the care and operation of radiation detection equipment, knowledge of Nuclear Medicine procedures, the appropriate computer analysis to generate a patient result, and patient care. Scope of work

The NMT performs both imaging and non-imaging procedures on patients and/or patient samples using radioactive tracers. The NMT is responsible for the safe and correct handling of radioactive materials, the care and operation of radiation detection equipment, knowledge of Nuclear Medicine procedures, the appropriate computer analysis to generate a patient result, and patient care. A NMT uses specific age and culture-related physical, intellectual psychosocial and developmental attributes in assessment planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care. Follows Corewell Health philosophy of Patient and Family Centered Care at all times.
