Job summary

Rowan Medical Center, part of Novant Health, is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join its acute care team on a 32-hour weekly schedule (Tuesday to Friday, 6:00am–2:30pm). The role involves preparing patients and operating nuclear medicine equipment to obtain diagnostic scans, supporting physicians in procedures, and ensuring safety and quality.

Required ARRT/NMTCB certification, at least 1 year of nuclear medicine experience, and active state licensure.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree or higher; ARRT/NMTCB recognized program preferred.
  • Certified and registered in Nuclear Medicine (RT(N) or CNMT) per NM state requirements.
  • Minimum of 1 year of nuclear medicine experience.
  • Must hold applicable state license and maintain certification.

Responsibilities

  • Assist physicians in diagnostic/therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures.
  • Prepare patients and operate nuclear medicine equipment to obtain diagnostic scans.
  • Ensure quality, safety, and compliance in all procedures.

What You'll Do

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist I assists physicians in the performance of diagnostic and / or therapeutic procedures by preparing the patient and operating the nuclear medicine equipment in order to obtain diagnostic scans.


What We're Looking For


  • Education: 2 Year / Associate Degree, preferred. Graduate of ARRT-approved or NMTCB-recognized Nuclear Medicine Program, required.

  • Experience: Minimum of one year of experience in nuclear medicine, required

  • Licensure/Certification: Certified and registered in Nuclear Medicine by ARRT or NMTCB – RT(N) or CNMT, required. Applicable state license, required.

  • Additional Skills (required): Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing; good communication skills; capable of functioning alone in diagnostic rooms; working knowledge of various types of nuclear medicine equipment, able to adapt to new and various situations and procedures according to age of patient served; has ability to interpret information to identify each patient’s requirements for care relative to his / her age-specific needs.
