Job summary

Novant Health is seeking a PRN Nuclear Medicine Technologist for the Charlotte region. The role supports acute care imaging, performing diagnostic scans and collaborating with physicians to deliver high‑quality patient care.

The ideal candidate has ARRT CNMT or NMTCB credentials, 1+ year of nuclear medicine experience, and strong communication skills to work effectively in a fast-paced team. Prior acute care experience is preferred and a 2-year degree is common for this position.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians in diagnostic/therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures.

What We’re Looking For:

• ARRT (N) or CNMT certification
• Prior acute care experience preferred
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail

What We’re Looking For:

Education :

• 2 Year / Associate Degree, preferred.
• Graduate of ARRT-approved or NMTCB-recognized Nuclear Medicine Program, required.

Experience :

• Minimum of one year of experience in nuclear medicine, preferred.

Licensure/Certification:

• Certified and registered in Nuclear Medicine by ARRT or NMTCB - RT(N) or CNMT, required.
• Refer to the Life Support Training Policy NH-HR-3096 for life support training requirement, required.
• Applicable state license, required.

Additional Skills (required):

Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing; good communication skills; capable of functioning alone in diagnostic rooms; working knowledge of various types of nuclear medicine equipment, able to adapt to new and various situations and procedures according to age of patient served; has ability to interpret information to identify each patient’s requirements for care relative to his / her age-specific needs.

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist I assists physicians in the performance of diagnostic and / or therapeutic procedures by preparing the patient and operating the nuclear medicine equipment in order to obtain diagnostic scans.
