Job summary

Medical City Dallas is seeking an experienced Nuclear Medicine Technician to join our Heart & Spine Hospitals team. You will work under a Nuclear Medicine Physician, performing radiopharmaceutical procedures and operating nuclear cameras with a focus on safety and accuracy.

The role requires certification (ARRT NM or NMTCB), Texas licensure, and BLS/ACLS readiness. This position supports patient care in a fast-paced, specialized cardiovascular and spine care environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of CAHEA accredited school of Nuclear Medicine preferred.
• MTR State of Texas.
• ARRT (NM) or NMTCB certification.
• NMTCB PET certification preferred.
• Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS provider.
• American Heart Association or American Red Cross ACLS provider required within 6 months of hire or transfer date.

Responsibilities

• Under the guidance of a Nuclear Medicine Physician, the Nuclear Medicine/P.E.T Technologist accomplishes one or a combination of several general radiographic procedures.
• Performs at a technical level requiring a high degree of independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative to apply isotopes for radiographic diagnosis.
• Performs test in-patients and out-patients.
• Utilizes a variety of Nuclear Medicine cameras and varied equipment.
• Administers pharmaceuticals and radiopharmaceuticals as outlined in Nuclear Medicine Scope of Practice.
• Demonstrates industry in radiation safety.
• Other duties as assigned.
