Job summary

Medical City Dallas is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technician to perform nuclear medicine and PET imaging under supervision of a Nuclear Medicine Physician. You will handle radiopharmaceuticals, operate specialized equipment, and ensure radiation safety for in-patient and out-patient procedures.

The role requires NMTCB or NMT certification, a Texas MRT license, ARRT(NM) or NMTCB certification, and BLS. PET certification is preferred; cross-training requirements apply with a 6-month certification

Qualifications

• Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMTCB) or Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT) certification required.
• MRT State of Texas license or eligible.
• ARRT(NM) or NMTCB Certification required.
• NMTCB PET Certification preferred.
• Current AHA or ARC BLS provider.
• If in cross-training, training completed under supervision; certification in alternate modality within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Under guidance of Nuclear Medicine Physician, perform nuclear medicine and PET radiographic procedures.
• Apply isotopes for radiographic diagnosis with high degree of independent judgment.
• Perform tests for in-patients and out-patients.
• Operate Nuclear Medicine cameras and equipment.
• Administer radiopharmaceuticals as per Nuclear Medicine Scope of Practice.
• Demonstrate radiation safety throughout procedures.
