Job summary

Medical City Dallas is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technician for a full-time day position. You will work under the Nuclear Medicine Physician to perform Nuclear Medicine/P.E.T procedures, administer radiopharmaceuticals, and operate specialized cameras across inpatient and outpatient settings.

The role emphasizes radiation safety, independent judgment, and adherence to Nuclear Medicine Scope of Practice. ARRT/NMTCB certification and Texas licensure are required, with ACLS/BLS compliance expected

Qualifications

• Graduate of CAHEA accredited school of Nuclear Medicine.
• MTR State of Texas license is required.
• ARRT (NM) or NMTCB certification required.
• NMTCB PET certification preferred.
• Current American Heart Association BLS required; ACLS within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Under the guidance of a Nuclear Medicine Physician, perform Nuclear Medicine/P.E.T procedures as assigned.
• Administer radiopharmaceuticals and isotopes for imaging.
• Operate Nuclear Medicine cameras and varied equipment with radiation safety in mind.
• Carry out other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Job Summary And Qualifications

What you will do in this role:

Under the guidance of a Nuclear Medicine Physician, the Nuclear Medicine/P.E.T Technologist accomplishes one or a combination of several general radiographic procedures Performs at a technical level requiring a high degree of independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative to apply isotopes for radiographic diagnosis Performs test in-patients and out-patients Utilizes a variety of Nuclear Medicine cameras and varied equipment

• Administers pharmaceuticals and radiopharmaceuticals as outlined in Nuclear Medicine Scope of Practice Demonstrates industry in radiation safety Other duties as assigned

What Qualifications You Will Need

• Graduate of CAHEA accredited school of Nuclear Medicine preferred


• MTR State of Texas


• ARRT (NM) or NMTCB certification


• NMTCB PET certification preferred


• Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS provider


• American Heart Association or American Red Cross ACLS provider required within 6 months of hire or transfer date
