Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Nuclear Medicine school preferred.
• MTR State of Texas required.
• ARRT (NM) or NMTCB certification required.
• Current BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification required within 6 months.
• ACLS provider required within 6 months of hire or transfer date.

Responsibilities

• Perform various medical tests on patients.
• Administer isotopes and radiopharmaceuticals as per guidelines.
• Ensure safety in radiation handling.
• Maintain patient records and assist in procedures.
• Performs tests on in-patients and out-patients.

Job Summary And Qualifications

Under the guidance of a Nuclear Medicine Physician, the Nuclear Medicine/P.E.T Technologist accomplishes one or a combination of several general radiographic procedures.

• Performs at a technical level requiring a high degree of independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative to apply isotopes for radiographic diagnosis
• Performs tests in-patients and out-patients
• Utilizes a variety of Nuclear Medicine cameras and varied equipment
• Administers pharmaceuticals and radiopharmaceuticals as outlined in Nuclear Medicine Scope of Practice
• Demonstrates industry in radiation safety
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications you will need

• Graduate of CAHEA accredited school of Nuclear Medicine preferred
• MTR State of Texas
• ARRT (NM) or NMTCB certification
• NMTCB PET certification preferred
• Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS provider
• American Heart Association or American Red Cross ACLS provider required within 6 months of hire or transfer date

We offer complex spine surgery and minimally invasive surgical options.
