Job summary

Medical City Heart & Spine Hospitals is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Tech to join our team. This full-time role runs Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, under the guidance of a Nuclear Medicine Physician to perform radiographic procedures and apply isotopes for diagnostic imaging.

Qualifications

• Graduate of CAHEA accredited school of Nuclear Medicine.
• MTR license required by Texas.
• ARRT NM or NMTCB certification required.
• NMTCB PET certification preferred.
• Must have BLS certification.
• ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire or transfer.

Responsibilities

• Under the guidance of a Nuclear Medicine Physician, performs radiographic procedures and applies isotopes for diagnostic imaging.
• Maintains safety standards and radiation safety practices.
• Performs tests on in-patients and out-patients.
• Operates Nuclear Medicine cameras and equipment.
• Administers radiopharmaceuticals as outlined in scope of practice.
• Other duties as assigned.

MTR State of Texas license

NMTCB PET certification

American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS provider

Job Summary And Qualifications

What you will do in this role:

• Under the guidance of a Nuclear Medicine Physician, the Nuclear Medicine/P.E.T Technologist accomplishes one or a combination of several general radiographic procedures
• Performs at a technical level requiring a high degree of independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative to apply isotopes for radiographic diagnosis
• Performs test in-patients and out-patients
• Utilizes a variety of Nuclear Medicine cameras and varied equipment
• Administers pharmaceuticals and radiopharmaceuticals as outlined in Nuclear Medicine Scope of Practice
• Demonstrates industry in radiation safety
• Other duties as assigned

What Qualifications You Will Need

• Graduate of CAHEA accredited school of Nuclear Medicine preferred
• MTR State of Texas
• ARRT (NM) or NMTCB certification
• NMTCB PET certification preferred
• Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS provider
• American Heart Association or American Red Cross ACLS provider required within 6 months of hire or transfer date
