Job summary

Medical City Heart & Spine Hospitals is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team under the guidance of a Nuclear Medicine Physician. The role is full-time and based at our Allen, TX location with a Monday–Friday schedule from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.

You will perform radiographic procedures, apply isotopes for diagnostic imaging, and work with Nuclear Medicine cameras and related equipment while maintaining strict radiation safety standards.

Qualifications

  • CAHEA accredited school of Nuclear Medicine preferred.
  • MTR Texas state licensure required.
  • ARRT (NM) or NMTCB certification.
  • NMTCB PET certification preferred.
  • Current BLS certification, ACLS within 6 months of hire date.

Responsibilities

  • Under guidance of a Nuclear Medicine Physician, perform radiographic procedures.
  • Apply isotopes for radiographic diagnosis with independent judgment.
  • Perform tests for in-patients and out-patients.
  • Utilize Nuclear Medicine cameras and varied equipment.
  • Administer pharmaceuticals and radiopharmaceuticals as outlined.
  • Demonstrate radiation safety practices and compliance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Summary And Qualifications
What you will do in this role:
  • Under the guidance of a Nuclear Medicine Physician, the Nuclear Medicine/P.E.T Technologist accomplishes one or a combination of several general radiographic procedures
  • Performs at a technical level requiring a high degree of independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative to apply isotopes for radiographic diagnosis
  • Performs test in-patients and out-patients
  • Utilizes a variety of Nuclear Medicine cameras and varied equipment
  • Administers pharmaceuticals and radiopharmaceuticals as outlined in Nuclear Medicine Scope of Practice
  • Demonstrates industry in radiation safety
  • Other duties as assigned
What Qualifications You Will Need
  • Graduate of CAHEA accredited school of Nuclear Medicine preferred
  • MTR State of Texas
  • ARRT (NM) or NMTCB certification
  • NMTCB PET certification preferred
  • Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS provider
  • American Heart Association or American Red Cross ACLS provider required within 6 months of hire or transfer date
