Job summary

Singing River Health System is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures using radiopharmaceuticals under supervision. The role requires proficiency in vascular access, strict radiation safety, and quality control of procedures and equipment.

The ideal candidate will hold an associate degree in a health field, have completed a Nuclear Radiology Technology program, and hold ARRT/NMTCB certification with Mississippi licensure.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in a health field required.
• Graduate of an approved Nuclear Radiology Technology Program required.
• Must be currently licensed as a Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist, RT Nuclear Medicine Technologist, or a Medical Radiation Technologist by ARRT or NMTCB.
• Must be licensed by the Mississippi State Department of Health.
• Must complete and maintain BCLS certification on hire/transfer.
• Must have de-escalation training by end of orientation (90 days).

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures using radiopharmaceuticals with professional judgment.
• Be proficient in vascular access and capitalizing on radiation protection principles.
• Maintain quality control of procedures and QA of equipment.
• Assist with policy/procedure development and accreditation readiness.
• Maintain adequate inventory of supplies and support Radiology department standards.
