Job summary

University of Utah Health Hospitals and Clinics is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging and administer radiopharmaceuticals under physician supervision. You will ensure safety, accuracy, and high-quality imaging while liaising with patients and staff.

The role includes mentoring students, maintaining equipment quality, and coordinating procedures with physicians. Utah licensure and ARRT/NMTCB credentials are required, with CT credentials within one year.

Qualifications

• Must have ARRT (N) or NMTCB (CNMT) upon hire; CT credentials within 1 year.
• Training/experience in radiation safety and radiopharmaceutical preparation will be used for patient examinations.

Responsibilities

• Administers radiopharmaceuticals to patients by IV, inhalation, or oral routes.
• Performs nuclear medicine imaging (dynamic, static, SPECT, PET).
• Maintains radiation safety policies and documentation for radiopharmaceuticals.
• Explains procedures to patients and assists in positioning.
• Ensures quality control of imaging equipment and monitors.
• Mentors nuclear medicine students in clinical settings.
