Job summary

Qualifications

• Proficient in PACS and RIS to retrieve and archive data.
• Demonstrates strong communication with patients and physicians.
• Able to provide compassionate patient care in a radiology setting.
• Knowledge of radiation safety policies and procedures.
• Understanding of radiopharmaceuticals and nuclear medicine principles.

Responsibilities

• Administers radiopharmaceuticals to patients via IV, inhalation, or oral routes.
• Performs nuclear medicine imaging (dynamic, static, SPECT, PET).
• Ensures compliance with radiation safety and documentation requirements.
• Explains procedures to patients and prepares equipment.
• Assists in positioning patients for diagnostic quality images.
• Communicates patient status to physicians and coordinates with care team.
• Mentors students and assists in inventories and supply orders.
• Calculates radiopharmaceutical activity and records results.
• Performs procedures during emergencies and optimizes imaging Quality.
