Job summary

Medical City Dallas is hiring a Nuclear Medicine Tech PRN to support patient imaging, radiopharmaceutical administration, and safety protocols.

The role requires working under a Nuclear Medicine Physician, performing diagnostic procedures, and handling PET radiopharmaceuticals while maintaining high safety standards.

Qualifications

• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
• ACLS certification within 6 months of hire is required.
• State Registered Radiologic Technician in good standing.
• NMTCB or NMT certification (AART NM) preferred.
• NMTCB PET certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Under guidance of a Nuclear Medicine Physician, perform radiographic procedures.
• Apply isotopes for radiographic diagnosis with independent judgment.
• Conduct tests inpatients and outpatients.
• Operate Nuclear Medicine cameras and related equipment.
• Administer radiopharmaceuticals per Nuclear Medicine scope of practice.
• Demonstrate radiation safety and compliance.

Job Summary and Qualifications

What you will do in this role:

• Under the guidance of a Nuclear Medicine Physician, the Nuclear Medicine/P.E.T Technologist accomplishes one or a combination of several general radiographic procedures
• Performs at a technical level requiring a high degree of independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative to apply isotopes for radiographic diagnosis
• Performs test in-patients and out-patients
• Utilizes a variety of Nuclear Medicine cameras and varied equipment
• Administers pharmaceuticals and radiopharmaceuticals as outlined in Nuclear Medicine Scope of Practice
• Demonstrates industry in radiation safety

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support Required
• ACLS must be completed within 6 months of hire
• State Registered Radiologic Technician
• Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMTCB), or Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT)- AART (NM)
• NMTCB PET Certification preferred
