Medical City Dallas is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Tech PRN to support patient care in the Nuclear Medicine/PET department. The role involves performing radiographic procedures, administering radiopharmaceuticals, and ensuring radiation safety under physician guidance.

Qualified candidates hold BLS, ACLS within 6 months, state radiologic licensure, NMTCB or NMT-AART NM certification, and NMTCB PET certification is a plus. This is a PRN opportunity within a major healthcare network in Texas.

Qualifications

• Basic Life Support required.
• ACLS must be completed within 6 months of hire.
• State Registered Radiologic Technician.
• Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMTCB) or Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT) – AART (NM).
• NMTCB PET Certification preferred.

Responsabilités

• Under the guidance of a Nuclear Medicine Physician, performs general radiographic procedures in Nuclear Medicine/P.E.T.
• Uses Nuclear Medicine cameras and varied equipment.
• Administers pharmaceuticals and radiopharmaceuticals per Nuclear Medicine Scope of Practice.
• Maintains radiation safety.
• Performs tests in-patients and out-patients.

Job Summary and Qualifications

What you will do in this role:

• Under the guidance of a Nuclear Medicine Physician, the Nuclear Medicine/P.E.T Technologist accomplishes one or a combination of several general radiographic procedures
• Performs at a technical level requiring a high degree of independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative to apply isotopes for radiographic diagnosis
• Performs test in-patients and out-patients
• Utilizes a variety of Nuclear Medicine cameras and varied equipment
• Administers pharmaceuticals and radiopharmaceuticals as outlined in Nuclear Medicine Scope of Practice
• Demonstrates industry in radiation safety

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support Required
• ACLS must be completed within 6 months of hire
• State Registered Radiologic Technician
• Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMTCB), or Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT)- AART (NM)
• NMTCB PET Certification preferred
