Job summary

Medical City Dallas is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Tech PRN to join our trusted team. Under physician oversight, you will perform nuclear medicine and PET-related radiographic procedures, ensuring high standards of safety and accuracy for in-patient and outpatient services.

The role requires state radiologic licensure, BCLS, ACLS within 6 months, and NMTCB/NMT or AART NM certification. We offer comprehensive benefits and opportunities to contribute to excellent patient care.

Qualifications

• BCLS and ACLS are required certifications.
• State registration in radiologic technology is required.
• NMTCB NM or NMT certification (AART NM) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision of a Nuclear Medicine Physician, perform general radiographic procedures.
• Apply isotopes for radiographic diagnosis with independence.
• Perform tests for in-patients and out-patients.
• Operate Nuclear Medicine cameras and related equipment.
• Administer radiopharmaceuticals as outlined in practice scope.
• Maintain radiation safety practices.

Job Summary and Qualifications

What you will do in this role:

• Under the guidance of a Nuclear Medicine Physician, the Nuclear Medicine/P.E.T Technologist accomplishes one or a combination of several general radiographic procedures
• Performs at a technical level requiring a high degree of independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative to apply isotopes for radiographic diagnosis
• Performs test in-patients and out-patients
• Utilizes a variety of Nuclear Medicine cameras and varied equipment
• Administers pharmaceuticals and radiopharmaceuticals as outlined in Nuclear Medicine Scope of Practice
• Demonstrates industry in radiation safety

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support Required
• ACLS must be completed within 6 months of hire
• State Registered Radiologic Technician
• Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMTCB), or Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT)- AART (NM)
• NMTCB PET Certification preferred
