Job summary

NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi seeks a Nuclear Medicine Physician to join PAGNY for daily clinical coverage, teaching radiology residents, and protocol development at Jacobi Medical Center in the Bronx.

The role offers a base salary of $295,276–$300,276 with total compensation around $364,803–$370,303, plus up to $40,000 bonus, CME, generous PTO, and comprehensive benefits. NY license required; board certification preferred.

Qualifications

  • Board Eligible or Board Certified in Nuclear Medicine by the ABNM.
  • New York State Medical License (or ability to obtain).
  • CT interpretation certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provide daily Nuclear Medicine clinical coverage, including diagnostic, general, and cardiac imaging, as well as radiopeptide therapies.
  • Participate in the teaching and education of Radiology residents.
  • Review and modify existing protocols and assist with developing new protocols, as needed.
  • Counsel patients and their families regarding radiation safety in preparation for therapy.
  • Complete assigned projects that support the Nuclear Medicine service, Radiology Department, and institution.
  • No after-hours or weekend call responsibilities.

Wages and Benefits include:

Annual Base Salary: $295,276* (board eligible); $300,276* (board certified) based on 40-hour work week.

The annual total value of compensation package is estimated at $364,803** (board eligible) and $370,303** (board certified), which includes the baseline salary, 401(k) contribution, and other factors as set forth below:

  • Projectedbonus of up to $40,000 (based on previous year’s average), contingent upon meeting quality and productivity targets.
  • 401(k)Company Contribution (subject to IRS contribution limits):
    • Employeesare immediately vested in a 3% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
    • Afterone year of service, employees receive an additional 7% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
  • AnnualContinuing Medical Education (CME) Reimbursement.
