Job summary

NYC Health + Hospitals/Metropolitan seeks a Diagnostic Radiologist to join the Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY). You will obtain histories, perform and interpret imaging studies, administer contrast, and discuss results with patients.

  • Serve as a teleradiologist when needed.

Opportunity Details:
  • Obtain patient histories and relevant clinical information from records and referring physicians.
  • Perform and interpret general diagnostic imaging studies.
  • Administer contrast agents and radiopaque substances (by injection, orally, or enemas) to render internal structures visible on x-ray films and fluoroscopic screens, recognizing and treating procedure-related complications.
  • Treat malignant internal and external growths using radiographs, high-energy sources, and natural orsynthetic radioisotopes.
  • Communicate results and counsel patients on procedures, risks, benefits, and alternatives.
  • Confer with medical professionals regarding image-based diagnoses and coordinate radiology services with other medical activities.
  • Maintain quality control of images and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
  • Serve as a teleradiologist when needed.
  • Potential for hybrid schedule.
Qualifications
  • Board Eligible or Board Certified in Diagnostic Radiology by the American Board of Radiology
  • Active New York State medical license

Wages and Benefits include:

AnnualBase Salary: $468,750* (board eligible); $494,500* (board certified) based on 40-hour work week.Additionalcompensation available for extra call or sessional/per diem hours.

The annual total value of compensation package is estimated at $674,750** (board eligible) and $700,500** (board certified),which includes the baseline salary, 401(k) contribution, sessional/per diem hours, and other factors as set forth below:

  • Estimated annual compensation for 10 additional sessional/per diem hours worked per week is $130,000.
  • Projectedbonus of up to $40,000 (based on previous year’s average), contingent upon meeting quality and productivity targets.
  • 401(k) Company Contribution (subject to IRS contribution limits):
    • Employeesareimmediatelyvested in a 3% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match isrequired.
    • Afterone year ofservice, employees receive anadditional7% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match isrequired.
  • AnnualContinuing Medical Education (CME) Reimbursement.
  • GenerousAnnual Paid Time Off (PTO): Vacation, Sick, Holiday, and CME days.
  • Medical,Prescription, and Dental Coverage: Top-tier plans with employee contributions significantly below market rates.
  • LifeInsurance and Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D) Coverage: Equal to 2x your salary (up to a maximum of $300,000) provided at no cost to you.
