Job summary

Medical University of South Carolina is seeking a Nuclear Medicine/PET Technologist to assist physicians in diagnostic procedures, prepare patients, and operate nuclear medicine equipment to obtain high-quality scans.

Responsibilities include administering radiopharmaceuticals, ensuring patient safety, and providing care from pediatrics to adults with professional judgment and critical thinking. ARRT/NMTCB program completion and SCRQSA licensure are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ARRT or NMTCB recognized Nuclear Medicine Program.
• 0-2 years of modality-specific experience.
• Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) from NMTCB or Registered Technologist (RT (N)) from ARRT or registry eligible with a B.S. or B.A. preferred.
• If registry eligible, must obtain certification within 12 months.
• Licensure from the SCRQSA required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, ACLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients and operate nuclear medicine equipment to obtain diagnostic scans.
• Administer radiopharmaceuticals and medications to obtain diagnostic images and/or provide therapy as ordered.
• Provide quality care to pediatric through adult patients using professional and ethical judgment.
