Job summary

The Medical University of South Carolina is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging and radiopharmaceutical preparation. You will assist with IV placement to minimize extravasations and operate imaging equipment to provide high-quality images for physician interpretation.

Applicants should be CNMT or RT(N) certified (or eligible) with a BA/BS, have ARRT/NMTCB education, and hold SCRQSA licensure. BLS is required; ACLS preferred.

Qualifications

  • Must be a certified nuclear medicine technologist (CNMT) or registered technologist (RT(N)) or eligible with a B.S. or B.A. preferred.
  • Graduate of an ARRT or NMTCB recognized Nuclear Medicine Program.
  • Licensure from the SCRQSA required.
  • Current BLS for Healthcare Providers required, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic imaging procedures using radiopharmaceuticals.
  • Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals and ensure safe IV placement.
  • Conduct computer processing and image enhancement for data analysis.
  • Provide images, data and patient information to physicians for interpretation.
