Job summary

Elios Healthcare in Newnan, GA, is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join a growing Nuclear Medicine and PET department. The role offers day shifts and the flexibility of 8 or 10-hour scheduling options.

The department operates two PET scanners with strong physician support, generous PTO, and excellent benefits. A RN/technologist team focuses on quality imaging and patient care.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • AMA-approved Radiologic Technology or Nuclear Medicine Technology program.
  • ARRT (N) or CNMT certification.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Minimum 1 year Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience.

Responsibilities

  • Perform Nuclear Medicine and PET imaging procedures safely and efficiently.
  • Operate Nuclear Medicine and PET imaging equipment, including Siemens systems.
  • Administer radiopharmaceuticals according to established protocols.
  • Perform radionuclide imaging and non-imaging studies under a Nuclear Medicine physician.
  • Position and monitor patients to ensure safety, comfort, and high-quality diagnostic images.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and follow radiation safety procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with Joint Commission, federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with physicians, technologists, nurses, and other care team members.
  • Support efficient patient flow and daily department operations.
  • Participate in cross-training and professional development opportunities.

$34-$56 per hour | $10,000 Sign-On Bonus | Day Shift | 8 or 10-Hour Shifts

About the Department

The department operates two PET scanners and averages approximately 20 PET scans per day. The Nuclear Medicine department averages 6-10 scans per day, primarily bone scans.

You'll be part of a collaborative team in a growing department where patient care, teamwork, and quality imaging are top priorities.

What You'll Do
  • Perform Nuclear Medicine and PET imaging procedures safely and efficiently
  • Operate Nuclear Medicine and PET imaging equipment, including Siemens systems
  • Administer radiopharmaceuticals according to established protocols
  • Perform radionuclide imaging and non-imaging studies under the direction of a Nuclear Medicine physician
  • Position and monitor patients to ensure safety, comfort, and high-quality diagnostic images
  • Maintain accurate documentation and follow radiation safety procedures
  • Ensure compliance with Joint Commission, federal, state, and local regulations
  • Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives
  • Collaborate with physicians, technologists, nurses, and other members of the care team
  • Support efficient patient flow and daily department operations
  • Participate in cross-training and professional development opportunities
Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year of Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience, preferably in a hospital or acute care setting
  • PET experience preferred but not required
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and attention to detail
  • Competitive $34-$56/hour pay range
