Job summary

NYU Langone Health in New York is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist-Woodhull to perform medically prescribed nuclear medicine procedures under supervision while upholding patient safety and regulatory compliance.

You will prepare patients, administer radiopharmaceuticals, operate gamma cameras, acquire and interpret images, document procedures, and work with a multidisciplinary team to ensure efficient patient care.

Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree or Certificate from an accredited School of Radiologic Technology.
  • New York State Radiologic Technologist License in Nuclear Medicine.
  • ARRT in Nuclear Medicine or NMTCB Certification.
  • BLS Certification.
  • Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in nuclear medicine technology.

Responsibilities

  • Verify patient identity and review physician orders for accuracy.
  • Explain procedures clearly and obtain consent when required.
  • Prepare patients for procedures, ensuring comfort, privacy and safety.
  • Administer radiopharmaceuticals and perform imaging and non-imaging procedures.
  • Operate nuclear medicine imaging equipment and evaluate diagnostic images.
  • Ensure proper documentation and compliance with safety regulations.
