Job summary

Piedmont Healthcare's Eastside Medical Center is seeking a Nuclear Medicine professional to advance patient care. You will perform diagnostic and therapeutic Nuclear Medicine and Nuclear Cardiology procedures, adhere to ALARA guidelines, and follow all protocols to ensure safety and quality.

The role emphasizes quality control, adherence to state and federal regulations, and teamwork within a hospital setting to support exceptional patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine program (JRCNMT or NMTCB).
• CNMT or NMTCB registration required.
• Knowledge of radiation safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic and therapeutic Nuclear Medicine and/or Nuclear Cardiology procedures according to protocols and ALARA requirements.
• Performs quality control procedures per manufacturer, state and federal guidelines.
• Adheres to radiation safety guidelines and radiopharmaceutical handling as needed.

RESPONSIBLE FOR:
Performs diagnostic and therapeutic Nuclear Medicine and/or Nuclear Cardiology procedures according to all Protocols, Policies and Procedures and adhering to A.L.A.R.A. programs. Performs all quality control procedures in accordance with manufacturer, state and federal guidelines.

Qualifications:

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Graduate of a Nuclear Medicine program accredited by either the Joint Review Committee on Education Programs in Nuclear Medicine Technology (JRCNMT) or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB).

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
None

MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:
Either CNMT or NMTCB registered.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
?BLS Certified
?Possesses a thorough knowledge of radiation safety guidelines and radiopharmaceuticals as needed to perform and process Nuclear Medicine examinations.
