Qualifications

• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic Nuclear Medicine and/or Nuclear Cardiology procedures per protocols and ALARA guidelines.
• Carry out quality control procedures per manufacturer, state and federal guidelines.

Responsibilities:

RESPONSIBLE FOR:
Performs diagnostic and therapeutic Nuclear Medicine and/or Nuclear Cardiology procedures according to all Protocols, Policies and Procedures and adhering to A.L.A.R.A. programs. Performs all quality control procedures in accordance with manufacturer, state and federal guidelines.

Qualifications:

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Graduate of a Nuclear Medicine program accredited by either the Joint Review Committee on Education Programs in Nuclear Medicine Technology (JRCNMT) or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB).

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
None

MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:
Either CNMT or NMTCB registered.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
?BLS Certified
?Possesses a thorough knowledge of radiation safety guidelines and radiopharmaceuticals as needed to perform and process Nuclear Medicine examinations.
