Nuclear Med Tech - CV Outpatient Imaging, PRN

Shift: Days

Department: CV Outpatient Imaging

Location: Piedmont Newnan Hospital

Status: PRN (Must be able to work 6 shifts per month)

Responsibilities

Performs diagnostic and therapeutic Nuclear Medicine and/or Nuclear Cardiology procedures according to all protocols, policies, and procedures and adhering to A.L.A.R.A. programs.

Performs all quality control procedures in accordance with manufacturer, state and federal guidelines.

Demonstrates ability to perform advanced imaging (cardiac and vascular) and is competent/proficient with cross‑sectional anatomy and physiology.

Provides more complex technical care necessary to meet identified patient needs.

Qualifications

• Minimum Education: Graduate of a Nuclear Medicine program accredited by the JRCNMT or NMTCB.
• Minimum Experience: Must have two years of experience as a Nuclear Med Tech.
• Licensure/Certification: Must be registered with either the CNMT or NMTCB.

Additional Qualifications

• BLS Certified.
• Possesses a thorough knowledge of radiation safety guidelines and radiopharmaceuticals as needed to perform and process Nuclear Medicine examinations.
