Job summary

Piedmont Fayette Hospital is seeking a Nuclear Med Tech II to perform diagnostic and therapeutic Nuclear Medicine and Nuclear Cardiology procedures, following protocols and ALARA standards. You will ensure quality control and participate in advanced cardiac and vascular imaging to meet patient needs.

The role requires completion of an accredited Nuclear Medicine program and active certification (ARDMS, ARRT NM, CNMT, or NMTCB) with BCLS.

Qualifications

• Nuclear Medicine program accreditation required (JRCNMT or NMTCB).
• 1 year of experience required.
• Licensure/certification: ARDMS or ARRT - Nuclear Med Tech, CNMT, or NMTCB registered; BCLS required.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic and therapeutic Nuclear Medicine and/or Nuclear Cardiology procedures according to protocols and ALARA.
• Performs all quality control procedures per manufacturer, state and federal guidelines.
• Demonstrates ability to perform advanced imaging (Cardiac and Vascular) and cross-sectional anatomy/physiology; provides complex care to meet patient needs.

Responsibilities:

Performs diagnostic and therapeutic Nuclear Medicine and/or Nuclear Cardiology procedures according to all Protocols, Policies and Procedures and adhering to A.L.A.R.A. programs. Performs all quality control procedures in accordance with manufacturer, state and federal guidelines. Demonstrates ability to perform advance imaging (Cardiac and Vascular) and is competent/proficient with cross-sectional anatomy and physiology. Provides more complex technical care necessary to meet identified patient needs.

Qualifications:

Education

• a Nuclear Medicine program accredited by either the Joint Review Committee on Education Programs in Nuclear Medicine Technology (JRCNMT) or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) Required
