Job summary

Cooper Lighting Solutions is looking for a Nuclear Med Tech to join the CV Outpatient Imaging team at Piedmont Newnan Hospital. The successful candidate will perform diagnostic procedures and ensure adherence to safety guidelines while providing complex technical care to patients.

A graduate from an accredited Nuclear Medicine program, the candidate should have at least two years of experience and be certified as either CNMT or NMTCB. This position operates on a PRN status requiring the ability to work 6 shifts per month.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Nuclear Medicine program accredited by JRCNMT or NMTCB.
• Two years of experience as a Nuclear Med Tech.
• CNMT or NMTCB registered.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic Nuclear Medicine and/or Nuclear Cardiology procedures.
• Conduct quality control procedures in compliance with guidelines.
• Demonstrate ability to perform advanced imaging.
• Provide complex technical care based on patient needs.

Nuclear Med Tech - CV Outpatient, PRN

Location: Piedmont Newnan Hospital

Shift: Days

Status: PRN (Must be able to work 6 shifts per month)

Department: CV Outpatient Imaging

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic and therapeutic Nuclear Medicine and/or Nuclear Cardiology procedures according to all Protocols, Policies and Procedures and adhering to A.L.A.R.A. programs.
• Performs all quality control procedures in accordance with manufacturer, state and federal guidelines.
• Demonstrates ability to perform advance imaging (Cardiac and Vascular) and is competent/proficient with cross-sectional anatomy and physiology.
• Provides more complex technical care necessary to meet identified patient needs.

Qualifications

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED: Graduate of a Nuclear Medicine program accredited by either the Joint Review Committee on Education Programs in Nuclear Medicine Technology (JRCNMT) or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB).

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Must have two years of experience as a Nuclear Med Tech.

MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW: Either CNMT or NMTCB registered.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

• BLS Certified
• Possesses a thorough knowledge of radiation safety guidelines and radiopharmaceuticals as needed to perform and process Nuclear Medicine examinations.
