Job summary

Piedmont Augusta Hospital is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform diagnostic and therapeutic Nuclear Medicine and Nuclear Cardiology procedures following established protocols. The role requires adherence to quality control standards and familiarity with cross-sectional anatomy and physiology to provide accurate imaging and patient care.

The successful candidate will have a Nuclear Medicine program accredited by JRCNMT or NMTCB and at least one year of experience, plus

• Nuclear Medicine program accreditation required.
• 1 year of experience required.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic and therapeutic Nuclear Medicine and/or Nuclear Cardiology procedures according to protocols.
• Performs quality control procedures in accordance with guidelines.
• Demonstrates ability to perform advanced imaging and cross-sectional anatomy/physiology.
• Provides more complex technical care to meet identified patient needs.

Responsibilities

Performs diagnostic and therapeutic Nuclear Medicine and/or Nuclear Cardiology procedures according to all Protocols, Policies and Procedures and adhering to A.L.A.R.A. programs. Performs all quality control procedures in accordance with manufacturer, state and federal guidelines. Demonstrates ability to perform advance imaging (Cardiac and Vascular) and is competent/proficient with cross-sectional anatomy and physiology. Provides more complex technical care necessary to meet identified patient needs.

Qualifications

Education

• a Nuclear Medicine program accredited by either the Joint Review Committee on Education Programs in Nuclear Medicine Technology (JRCNMT) or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) Required

Work Experience

• 1 year of experience Required

Licenses and Certifications

• (N) ARDMS or ARRT - Nuclear Med Tech Upon Hire Required or
• CNMT - Certified Nuclear Med Tech CNMT registered Upon Hire Required or
• NMTCB - Nuclear Medicine Tech NMTCB registered Upon Hire Required
