Job summary

Shields Health Care is seeking a PET technologist to join Signature - Brockton Hospital. The role offers a 10-hour weekly Saturday shift from 6:00a-4:30p or 7:00a-5:30p in a fast-paced clinical setting.

You will operate PET equipment, ensure patient safety, perform hot lab tasks, and collaborate with radiologists to deliver high-quality imaging. Strong ARRT/NMTCB certification and one year nuclear medicine experience are required.

Qualifications

• Must possess a state license for the state(s) in which employed to work.
• Must be CPR certified.
• Must be registered by the ARRT and/or NMTCB.
• A minimum of one-year prior nuclear medicine experience is required.
• Excellent interpersonal skills are required.
• Proficient in starting IVs.

Responsibilities

• Operate PET equipment to produce images and measure concentrations of radioactive isotopes.
• Performs all hot lab responsibilities.
• Accurately position the patient and ensure their comfort.
• Maintain visual and verbal contact with the patient during the exam.
• Record patient data to Tech Data Entry program.
• Provide and issue films when appropriate; forward PET data to Radiologist.
• Refilm cases as time allows.
• Assist clerical staff as circumstances arise.
• Clean and re-supply equipment and rooms as needed.

Job Summary:In keeping with Shields Health Care commitment to excellence, the PET technologist will provide a professional, caring atmosphere to all customer groups, while maintaining a fast-paced, multi-tasked oriented clinical environment.Job Description:This is a 10-hour weekly position at Signature - Brockton Hospital on Saturdays:6:00a-4:30p OR 7:00a-5:30pWhat you will do:Follow all Shields Health Care Group policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure patient safety at all times.Follow rules and regulations established by the NRC, state regulatory agencies, and JCAHO.Inform the patient of all aspects of their exam to their level of understanding.Operate PET equipment to produce images and measure concentrations of Radioactive Isotopes in specific body areas and body products.Performs all hot lab responsibilities.Ensure patient is cleared of all contraindications and hazards.Accurately position the patient and ensure their comfort.Maintain visual and verbal contact with the patient during the exam.Complete all forms pertaining to patient’s exam.Record patient data to Tech Data Entry program.Provide and issue films when appropriate.Forward PET related data to Radiologist upon completion of exam.Refilm cases as time allowsAssist clerical staff as circumstances arise.Clean and re-supply equipment and rooms as needed.Required QualificationsWhat you need:Must possess a state license for the state(s) in which he/she is employed to workMust be certified in CPRMust be registered by the ARRT and/or NMTCB.A minimum of one-year prior nuclear medicine experience is required.
