Job summary

BWX Technologies, Inc. in Euclid, Ohio is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to provide technical leadership and support for product/design engineering tasks in a team setting to ensure timely and cost-effective completion.

You will evaluate hardware against requirements, perform analyses, prepare reports, and create models and drawings while collaborating with customers and internal teams to meet objectives.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• Experience with finite element analysis preferred.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE security clearance.
• Strong verbal and technical writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate hardware discrepancies to contract requirements and design integrity with the intent of determining proper technical disposition and justification to customer.
• Perform and review structural and mechanical analyses using computer software and standard engineering principles.
• Prepare and review technical reports for customer submittal and approval.
• Generate and maintain computer models and drawings of component parts and assemblies.
• Interface with customers, engineers, and other functional departments in support of engineering department objectives.
• Other engineering tasks and responsibilities as required.
