Job summary

BWX Technologies, Inc. (BWXT) hires a Mechanical Engineer to provide technical leadership for design and analysis tasks in a team setting. The on-site role in Euclid, Ohio requires interpreting contract requirements, performing stress analyses, and generating detailed reports for customers.

The candidate should hold a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, be capable of producing engineering drawings, and have strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering required.
• Experience with finite element analysis (ANSYS) preferred.
• Familiarity with engineering drawings and geometric tolerancing.
• Strong verbal and technical writing skills.
• Established leadership ability and skills.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and support for Product/Design Engineering tasks and projects in a team environment to ensure timely and cost effective completion to meet customer expectations.
• Perform and review structural and mechanical analyses using computer software and standard engineering principles.
• Prepare and review technical reports for customer submittal and approval.
• Generate and maintain computer models and drawings of component parts and assemblies.
• Interface with customers, engineers, and other functional departments in support of engineering department objectives.
• Other engineering tasks and responsibilities as required.
