Job summary

Holtec is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Design Engineer to support design, development, and delivery of systems and components for spent nuclear fuel storage, transportation, and SMR initiatives. Based at the Corporate Engineering Center in Camden, NJ, the role involves reviewing designs, analyses, and drawings while ensuring code compliance and timely execution.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and manufacturing partners from concept through fabrication and testing,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited four-year university.
• Minimum 5 years of design or manufacturing experience.
• Ability to manage tasks with minimal supervision and ensure on-time delivery.
• Experience using CAD to create detailed equipment drawings and Understand GD&T.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and perform integrated product development and engineering processes.
• Review designs for compliance with standards and contract requirements.
• Prepare and review design changes, specifications, analyses, and drawings.
• Prepare fabrication drawings for manufacturers and technical specs for products
• Ensure strict quality assurance and on-time project delivery
• Travel up to 20%
