Job summary

Black & Veatch is seeking a Mechanical Engineer specialized in nuclear power plant systems to design and analyze mechanical systems for new designs or modifications to operating plants. You will collaborate with design engineering teams across the US, perform calculations, develop specifications, and ensure budgets and schedules are met.

Minimum qualifications include a bachelor's in engineering, 5+ years of related experience, active engineering licensure, and U.S. citizenship.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering is required.
• Minimum of 5 years of related work experience.
• Pre-employment onboarding including background check, drug screen, and MVR search as applicable.
• Active engineering registration/licensure to support engineer-of-record requirements.
• U.S. citizenship is required for BV projects with the U.S. Federal Government.

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical systems for nuclear power plant designs or modifications.
• Collaborate with design teams across the United States.
• Perform complex engineering calculations and prepare technical specifications.
• Manage budgets, schedules and quality requirements on projects.
• Coordinate with other disciplines to ensure proper workflow and project execution.
