Job summary

Black & Veatch is seeking an Electrical Engineer for Nuclear Power in the U.S. with responsibilities spanning design, analysis, and project leadership for complex nuclear projects.

The role involves developing electrical drawings, specifications, BOMs, and budgets, while collaborating with clients, site teams, and cross-functional groups to deliver safe, compliant, and efficient power systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited program.
• Minimum of 5 years related work experience.
• PE licensure preferred; citizenship/certification requirements may apply for nuclear work.
• Nuclear power plant facility design experience or infrastructure power distribution experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance to project teams and lead design efforts.
• Develop design change packages and electrical drawings including one-line/three-line diagrams, motor schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Prepare electrical equipment specifications and Bills of Materials (BOM) for procurement and construction.
• Create man-hour budgets and project schedules; manage budgets, scope, and quality.
• Coordinate with clients and on-site teams, attending meetings and supporting construction activities.
