Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a Materials Engineer to join the Chemistry and Materials team to support GVH/GNF across GVH Nuclear Engineering. You will develop new material technology, characterize material behavior, and perform design analyses for plant and fuel applications.

The role requires working within BWR plant and fuel material programs, leading test initiatives, and ensuring compliance with NRC policies. Relocation to Wilmington, NC is anticipated; May 2027 start date.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or similar fields required.
• Knowledge of BWR/BWR materials and fuel material behavior is preferred.
• Ability to develop and execute material property test programs.

Responsibilities

• Support development and execution of BWR plant and fuel material deliverables.
• Provide technical leadership for material property test programs.
• Perform analyses and verifications in nuclear plant and fuel material applications.
• Write work plans and coordinate cladding processing activities.
• Interface with internal/external customers on technical issues.
