The position is based in Wilmington, NC, with relocation to Wilmington required. May 2027 start date; pay range around $80,000–$87,000 USD per year.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Metallurgy, Material Science, Nuclear, or similar.
• U.S. Persons eligible; export-controlled data awareness.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for BWR plant and fuel materials deliverables.
• Lead development and execution of BWR material property test programs.
• Perform analyses and verifications for BWR nuclear material applications.
• Develop processing and characterization plans for novel fuel cladding materials.
• Write work plans and ensure cladding processing follows NRC requirements.
