Qualifications

  • 8+ years of nuclear licensing or regulatory affairs experience.
  • Proven track record managing licensing from concept to approval.
  • Experience supporting NRC/DOE interactions.
  • Strong technical writing and regulatory documentation skills.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Nuclear Licensing Manager to lead regulatory strategy and licensing efforts for advanced nuclear technologies and materials programs. This role will work closely with engineering, research, and operations teams to ensure compliance with NRC, DOE, and industry requirements while supporting the development and deployment of next-generation nuclear solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead nuclear licensing strategy and regulatory planning
  • Manage licensing documentation, submissions, and regulatory engagements
  • Support NRC/DOE interactions, reviews, and compliance activities
  • Translate regulatory requirements into engineering and program objectives
  • Collaborate with technical teams to support safe and compliant project execution
  • Develop licensing roadmaps, schedules, and risk mitigation strategies
Key Skills:
  • Nuclear regulatory compliance and licensing experience
  • Strong understanding of NRC and DOE requirements
  • Technical writing and regulatory documentation

  • Ability to work with engineering and research teams
Required Qualifications:
  • Degree in Nuclear Engineering, Nuclear Physics, Engineering, Physics, or a closely related field
  • 8+ years of experience in nuclear licensing, regulatory affairs, or nuclear operations
  • Experience supporting nuclear facilities, advanced reactors, radioactive materials, or government nuclear programs
  • Proven success managing licensing activities from concept through approval
Preferred Experience:
  • Advanced reactors, SMRs, microreactors, or nuclear materials
  • National laboratories, DOE, defense, or government programs
  • NRC licensing processes and safety analysis
  • Nuclear quality assurance and compliance programs
