Job summary

Lumicity in Los Angeles, CA is seeking a Senior Licensing Engineer to support NRC licensing analyses for our fuel cycle facilities. This is a hands-on technical role, not document management, focused on safety analyses and regulatory submittals that inform our path to operation.

You will perform criticality safety and consequence analyses, draft content for license applications, and collaborate with process engineers and NRC staff to advance licensing activities.

Qualifications

• BS, MS, or PhD in Nuclear Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in nuclear facility licensing, safety analysis, or nuclear systems engineering.
• Hands-on experience with criticality safety or consequence/dose analyses.
• Working knowledge of NRC regulations (10 CFR 70, 40, or similar).
• Direct experience supporting NRC licensing activities at a fuel cycle facility, reactor vendor, utility, or engineering firm.

• Experience at a fuel cycle facility, enrichment facility, or advanced reactor/fuel developer
• Authorship of license applications, ISA sections, or safety analysis report chapters
• Participation in NRC pre-application meetings
• Startup experience, or strong interest in a fast‑moving engineering environment
