Job summary

The Nuclear Company in Washington, DC is seeking a Manager of Licensing to lead licensing and permitting activities for reactor projects. The role requires deep regulatory knowledge and strong writing and coordination skills.

You will manage workflows, coordinate cross‑functional inputs for submissions, interface with regulators and project teams, and supervise licensing staff to ensure timely and compliant outcomes.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in engineering, project management, and/or licensing/regulatory affairs.
• Experience contributing to licensing efforts with regulatory outcomes.
• Knowledge of NRC/DOE interactions and regulatory submissions.

Responsibilities

• Support regulatory strategy, engagement plans, and licensing applications.
• Draft regulatory submissions and RAIs; coordinate responses with regulators.
• Manage licensing schedules, track commitments, and monitor NRC docket activity.
• Supervise licensing staff and support development of regulatory budgets and plans.
